Zdrastvuyete Comrades,
Thought you might want to check out a conversion I'm working on. I'm taking a Trumpeter 1:35 Hind and "de-engineering" it to a more nostalgic time when Mi-24 Hind A's swept across the East European "battlefield" and over destroyed Afghan villages.
I tip my hat to the Hind A. The Soviets definitely had it going on with the menacing greenhouse canopy and it's wonderfully brutal simplicity. I've been working on this for about 3 months (read: about 3-4 hours a week) and am about to turn my attention to the aircraft fuselage: moving the tailrotor to starboard side, taking off the IR jammer, "up turning" the APU exhaust and main exhaust baffles, etc mods for an early model Hind A.
The entire cockpit is scratchbuilt, with the exception of the seats, cyclic, collective, and soon to be installed seatbelts. I cut the cyclic to scale and split the cushion on the gunner's seat. Troop cabin soon to follow.
Hope you enjoy where I'm taking this. Please tear me a new a-hole with constructive criticism.

This may not be an A type though... Think that we can get a model company to do a set?
