Hey guys. I noticed some photo etched parts in my Flanker box. What are these? I thought that they were like decals. It says that I need some special glue for it that I cant get over here. Can I just use ordinary cement glue or super glue to apply them?
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
WD.

super glue is fine to use to attach the photo etched parts.

Hi, before you paint and superglue your photo etch
parts you may want to deshine them with a small peice
of green scotchbrite pad so the paint and superglue will adhere real good. Hope this helps

Another thing to do is to dip your clear parts in future floor polish (KLEAR in the UK). not only does it give you a nice crystal clear finish to the plastic, but it will also protect the clear parts from the evil superglue mist. this especially important if you have to mount any PE to clear parts of the canopy. Should I do that before or after painting?
Btw, what will the difference be if I use that floor polish or the priming spray?

I do the dip in future before painting. If I plan to do the kit in a weekend, i'll do it a soon as open the box so the future has time to set up. It also works as a good base coat for the decals. One thing t note is future could be used as a primer but I havn't tried it, but a surface primer will damage the clear peices. The future will also protect the clear parts from the adhesive in most masking agents.HTH STUG
