Just received Italeri’s Combat Aircraft Support Group kit and it looks quite good. A few unwelcome sinkholes, but still a welcome addition to the 1/48 scale clan. Nice price too. Any comments on the accuracy and general make up of this kit?

This is the old Esci set that has been around for quite some time. I bought a set in the late 80s and have seen the set included with various aircraft in both Esci and AMT/Ertl boxings. I also have a set that was included with an Esci F-5 Tiger II and vacuformed airfield base.

I thought the stuff was molded well and looked pretty good. I can't comment on accuracy, but I think the air force has upgraded a lot of the equipment since the 80s when this set was produced.
