I would like to share with you all a project I have completed concurrent to working on my Incoming! and my M901, M1046 projects. This kit is the Tamiya M41 that has been around for a long time. It was built out of the box with the following exceptions:
Wire antennae
Wire grab handles
AFV Club workable track
Cast epoxy light lenses
Drivers periscopes
There are a few things I would suggest to change for anyone building this kit. The most important would be to get a better .50 cal. MG for the top of the turret. The one supplied with the kit is not very good. Strange detail on it and the butt plate is just a blob. When I get a chance, I will replace mine. Also, the ammo can. There is a gentle sink hole in the front of the can. I thought I could get this to look like a dent. Well, it does a little, but the effect is lost because I didn't add any stenciling to the can. Damaged stenciling would have really helped the effect.
Overall, the kit was a good build. I got another one because I liked it. I don't know how accurate my bumper #'s are, but I'm not worried because it was built as the first in a series of US tanks that will be personalized with my childrens names on the turrets.

No scathing critique from me Rich!
The BullDog is one of my favorites, and I worked on my Tamiya example diligently. I don't think you set out to try and correct every little flaw on the kit - so no need for me to swing at them. All my thoughts on the kit are on my website...
I like the kit too - for a "toy" way back then, Tamiya didn't do too bad of a job. How many of these models are you going to add to your collection?

Thanks everyone.
I can't say for sure how many more of these I will do. One for certain. However, since Hobby Lobby always seems to have these in stock at a good price, you never know. The number of these I build will probably be determined by how many sets of the AFV Club track I come across. They are great.
I would like to try to get my next attempt a little more accurate on bumper #'s and details. I would also like to attempt the mantlet cover.
Gunnie, I believe I've checked out your website while looking for info on the M41. Excellent work in all aspects.
