Hi all,
I have a challenge for anyone who builds copters
Check out the pics below..they are of an MI-24 helicopter over in Afghanistan. I don't know where the pics originated from. Someone forwarded them to m mom and then she forwarded them to me but this is one fantastic paint job
It would be a heck of a challenge for a scale copter modeler to try and copy this one but I sure would like to see someone give it a try. To do this one and do it well would be no small feat.
Enjoy and good modeling.
If anyone out there actually tries this one I would love to see the finished kit

Here is another post about the same bird over at FineScale Modeller. It includes photos of it being painted. Apparently it is called the 'Turul Eagle' it was a Hungarian flight-demo a/c for airshows. MI-24 Eagle

Ditto on the Hungarian Chopper, the scene however looked like central europe more than Afghanistan though.

This kit has been done in scale, I saw it on a site with photos from a European show, I don't recall where.
The builder painted the entire pattern (no decals) if I recall correctly.

Those are some neat pics of the MI getting painted. That guy is a fine artist.
WOW!!
Those two kits of the ARC site look great !!
The 1/48th scale would be difficult enought to do but I can't believe the detail on that 1/72nd scale
Both modelers did a fine job
