Well, I think I'm officially done with this model. It's a 1/48th Revell F-4J I saw it at the hobby shop for about $14 and couldn't resist. I could have done better on some parts, but I'm happy enough with it to call it done. I had a lot of fun building this and I learned a lot of things about building aircraft models (like using future). This is my first true aircraft model and since I don't have an airbrush it was all hand painted. It wasn't as clean and accurate as it probably could have been, but it wasn't the worst model I've seen. Some of the decals were oversized I thought. It also came with one figure sitting and one standing, so I had to modify the standing figure to fit him into the plane and had to sculpt a helmet on him. My plan is to have this in a diorama, flying on a mission over rice patties and a village. That's why the wheels aren't down. I'm going to have the base in a smaller scale to give it perspective. I'm sorry for the crappy pictures, but any questions, comments, or suggestions are welcomed. I'm always willing to improve. Also, more pics can be found at my site, or at Nam Modelers.

Pics could be of better quality, really blurry man, but other than that I see a nice clean looking F-4.

Brad- checked out your site, pics there are a little easier on the eyes. Nice build, very clean, great attention to detail(especially your fuse extenders on the mk. 82's ). Not sure if it's the pics, but the finish on the bird may be a tad shiny. These Navy birds were always shot in gloss, but the salt air weathered 'em down to satin in no time. I'd also expect to see just a little bit more leading edge & Radome wear on a low level fast mover, but to each his own. Looking forward to seeing this in that dio, Forced perspective is something I've tried & failed miserably at in the past( 1:35 halftrack peeking through barn at 1:72 KingTiger- Bleah...) so I'd like to see a success in the field. Build on!
p.s. C'mon Brad, nice model & all, but a NAVY bird? Marines had F4's too, ya know... :-) :-)

Sorry about being a Navy bird, but it was just built OOB with the decals that came with it I've thought about making another one since this one was so fun to make. The next one will probably be Hasegawa.
