G'day Folk's,
It's been awhile since my last visit, but I finally got to do one of my own models in between the contracted builds.
This Mk XXI Beaufighter is the Australian Manufactured version, I have added all the bits that Tamiya have forgoten, corrected the gun sight and added all my resin products. My bird is based on a 93 RAAF Attack Squadron, unoficially called 'The Green Ghosts' they had the most colourfull of all the RAAF Beaufighter's but their opperational time span was from March '45 to the end of hostilities. 'Ginger Meggs' is a cartoon caracturer that was popular during this period, this Squadron's aircraft for some reason all carried Lady's names.
Rob.

Another beauty Robert. Really colourful. I built one of the Tamiya Beaufighters and thought it was the best of their kits I've ever built, the fit of the parts was superb. My only gripe was that the cockpit canopy curves distorted the view inside and much of the interior detail couldn't be seen. I should have done what you did and left the top hatch open.
Are the flaps and tail control surfaces aftermarket parts or did you cut the kit parts to show them lowered?

Very nice build Robert. Do you consider to do some weathering on the bird ?
