That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen, i cant imagine the hours put into that project, probly has a preflight checklist comparable to the space shuttles. I woulda been scared to fly it for fear of crashin...heh.

I hope that the owner is not out commiting Hari-Kari. I probably would be after all that time and
money.
Years ago I knew of a guy that had a large scale B-17. Something like $400US just for the airframe. Countless hours (a year?) building it strut by strut only to have some sort of interference cause it to crash and burn on it's first flight. I don't recall much being salvaged.

Same thing happened to the Lancaster that was on the cover of FSM some years ago. This thing was so big it had GI Joes as the pilots and they were in scale. It had something like ten thousand rivets hand glued to the skin. Corkscrewed into a field somewhere. Total loss.
