A C130 engine is on fire and the pilot says "I'm going to blow the bottle". Dos anyone know what that means? I assume it is to put out the fire, but what exactly is this bottle?!

Most aircraft have fire extinguishers (fire bottles) for each engine. As I recall the C130 has two per wing and they can be selected to put first one bottle through the engine, and if the fire doesn't go out, then a second bottle can be put through it. However, this means that a subsequent fire in the other engine or a relight of the first fire has no means of being extinguished. Hope this helps.
