In his latest review, Tom (T_Terrific) takes a step into Luft ''46 territory, with a book which examines the possible development of a Nazi atomic bomb.

Hi again

For anyone who wants to lean more about the Manhattan Project - the development of the first Atomic Bomb, take a look at The Manhattan Project Heritage Preservation Association, Inc..

One scary quote from the site is as follows (and I don't know if a Brit should feel proud about his country's hand in the development of such an awful weapon...):

Quoted Text

If Congress knew the true history of the atomic energy project, I have no doubt that it would create a special medal to be given to meddling foreigners for distinguished services, and Dr. [Mark] Oliphant would be the first to receive one."; Leo Szilard; Speaking after the war and referring to Britain's "manipulation" of America's government officials to put the bomb effort on a "fast track."

Sobering stuff

That looks like a good book!

I'll try to intercept a copy!
