Just a few questions to ask : 1 Did Super 64 have a internal fuel tank in it at the time of the mission on 3rd October?
2 Is the minni guns fed off the one big ammo box or 2 smaller ammo boxes?
Thanks in advance

I would have to say that Mike's bird didn't have the internal fuel tank, and the two minigun fed off of two seperate ammo boxes. I could stand to be corrected so don't mark my words yet.

(1)no internal fuel tank, becuse it had to deploy a small chalk of men 10-12 and room was needed, also the missions were short. (2) the mini guns used each own ammo cans. theses hawks were used to insert men and to coverfire over head. nose mounted or laser dectors not used. no esss wings were used. flir & rador dome were mounted and not used. no ifr probe and the pilot doors removed. m-134wepons no .50 cal. mini guns were fed by 2 individuel boxs. 1 per gun. call signs painted on window of the cargo door eg: super 64 had 64.

O.K......what did he used to stash under his seat,... what is the diameter of the 'fast' rope's,... and (I'll throw this one in...} what was the 'unofficial' name of '64'?

Hey Thanks Guys,
It all will help and yes i have been posting at FSM. The unofficial name of Super 64 was "Venom" It was spelt with the V looking like a square root symbol and the rest of the word was letters in some other style but you can make it out to be Venom. Yeah i was'nt to sure if he had the internal fuel in so thats good and i guess i will have to scratch build the ammo cans.
Thanks alot again,
Rob.
Ohh yeah as for what he had stashed under his seat i can't actually remember???
It's in his book but off the top of my head i can't actually say.

He used to stash his NVG's under there until some crafty villager reached in and stole them.
(he got them back though......luckily ).

...actually he kept the JD in the center console...
Good on ya mother!
to PorkChop: Absolutely!.....A dandy read. I appreciated the tales of NoKo, and Panama just as much as the rest of the book.
But.....even more than that, I especially enjoyed the little 'inside' snippet's of intel about Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon's courage.
Every time I think of these magnificent men, my faith in modern day 'comrades' is elevated once again!!
