Hi folks,
I'm building the Revell Ju 52/3m, which is an excellent kit. I have the CMK exterior set however, which contains 3 fuel tanks and panel covers to go below the wing on one side.
The instructions are not too specific, and I was wondering if the panels are hinged and just hang down while the aircraft is being refueled, or are they taken off completely and laid on the ground beneath the wing?
I've scoured the net to no avail, any info would be much appreciated!
Thanks, Nick

Hi Nick
Not much help, but a photo of a derelict Ju 52/3m shows a door hanging down outboard of the engine - it's hinged on the outer edge.
I'll holler if I spot any other pics.
All the best

That's good enough for me!
By outer edge, this would be the edge nearer to the wingtip?
Many thanks! Nick

Hi Nick
That's right - nearest the wingtip.
Looking forward to seeing the model - it's already a great kit so, with an additional detail set, yours should look really spectacular!

I have this kit, plus the Aires cockpit set. I would be very interested in how you get on with it, as I may be starting it soon :-)

Thanks for the help!
I have the Aires cockpit as well, which is really simple and beautifully detailed. So far I'm very happy with everything. I've been working on it this morning but my girlfriend wants to go to the garden centre now .
I'll try and take some photos later on and post them up.
