We dont have many airshows in my area, so we realy enjoyed this one! My 5 year old is realy a plane nut 1st class, so he was in airborn heaven! A lot of these I could'nt ID, anything outside of warbirds and I'm lost.
I will have some warbird pics later! Hope you enjoy.

This is a beautiful Stearman, I have more pics I took.

This is my son Albert next to a (?). You can tell by his grin he is loving it!

Cheers

That wicked tail dragger at the end is a Aermacchi bird.

It's a modified L-19 Bird Dog with a bigger tail and wing, and fitted with a turbine. Prior version had a 300 HP flat 6 engine.

The exact designation eludes me, but that's what it is!

The biplanes are PT-17/N2S-3 (the second is an N2S-3) commonly called Stearman. The PT-17 is the AAF version while the N2S was the Navy version. I will give you a tip on IDing aircraft which works on most US military aircraft. Look near the tail area and you will see the designation of the aircraft. A lot of times, they will be on either side below the horizontal stabilizer. In the case of the Navy Stearman (the yellow one), it is found on the upper part of the rudder.

Hi Garry

Great pics!

When will a manufacturer do a new 1/48 scale Stearman!? I've begged Accurate Miniatures to do it, but no luck!

Shall we start the petition here?

All the best

Nice quality pics, two bad they didn't have any more WW2 planes. We had a air show here in the Cleveland Ohio area...They had a 2 B17G's you could actually crawl inside the bomb bay..It was neat!

You have my signiture Rowan, I would love to see that kit produced! Can we add to this list a 1/48 AT-6 Texan.
I dont think they would have a hard time selling them to us!
