It is one of the few planes I would call gorgeous. This has been #1 on Fine Scale Modeler's most demanded kit of an Aircraft in 48th scale for 5 years now. Previous recod holder was the PBY which eventually Monogram put out. Everybody else seems to be putting out umpteen P-51's, ME 109's, and F-4 Phantoms. Great aircraft but why do we need 50 varianats of each kit? Well, Trumpeter is listening to what the modelers want and putting out fantastic kits at reasonable prices and brand new ideas. Tamiya better watch out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
