Could tempt me to do another 'plane. About time we had some more big brits.
Is anybody familiar with FM kits, are they 'limited run' quality or 'mainstream' as regards fit and detail?

Hi Dave

I'm going to review FM's Maryland soon, which is definitely short-run in nature and will take a lot of building.

On the evidence of that, I'd say the Halifax will probably be best suited for experienced builders who are willing to undertake a major challenge.

All the best

I have the Maryland on order, hasn't received it yet, but I would very much like to get the Halibag too.

Hopefully, the kit will allow us to make different versions.

But there was this rumour that a major company was working on a brand new 1/48 British heavy, and it wasn't a Lancaster...

Yes, FM kits are not for beginners ! But with each new kit, they increase their quality and mke them more and more buildable.

I'm really interested in the Halifax, I just hope that FM do a half decent job. Now they plan on bringing this out it's a fair bet that no one else will do one, so it will be the only game in town.
