Those paints do look to be a good range Rowan. Have you tried masking over them to see if they lift when the tape is removed?

Hi Martin
That's a very good point! I hadn't, but I have now and there was no lifting at all! I'll add that to the text.
Cheers

Hi again
I forgot to upload the pics for RLM 72 & 73 so, to save you wading through the review again, here they are:
As you can see, Xtracryix'x RLM 73 a perfect match for the paint chip in Michael Ullmann's book, while RLM 72 is almost spot on for the original chip, but rather darker than the one in the replacement supplement, which is supposedly more accurate.
All the best
Rowan

Hi Ollie
I got an e-mail from David Hannant today, so maybe I should ask him what the situation is regards Canada...

I used Xtracolor Enamels for years and I must say I'm surprised it took them so long to convert to Acrylics ..
As far as color-matching and avilable colors were concerned, Xtracolor were truly brilliant.. The news that they have gone into Acrylics is a superb piece of news...
What this is going to mean (for me at least) is that I will definitely be going back into aviation modelling - the Tamiya garbage will be going into the trash-can as will the Humbrol stuff...
As they have promised, they are going to increase their range - next thing which will be needed will be WW2 colors -both U.S. and British. With the new releases in U.S. Naval Aviation, I think I see an Avenger on the horizon....Jim
