Thanks Bryan....
Bytepilot, I'm building this kit OOB. The Accurate Miniature kits are beautifully detailed and you don't need to add anything to it (in my opinion).

That makes me feel a lot better about not adding anything to mine, Penny. Hope to get some of my own pics up soon.....

Not to be outdone by the rest of you - I uploaded pics of my progress on the F4D-1 Skyray Satellite Launch Aircraft out of China Lake into my album on the msn site. These are photos of the "NOTSnik" (EV-1) just about complete. All I have to do is attach the engine bells and underwing pylon - moving on to the F4D-1 Skyray now...

Thanks Penny and Bryan for the encouragement - it's been a really long time since I got aircraft paint colors on my fingers. This has sparked an old interest in me - might decide to do another one when I finish the Skyray...

I've finally completed the interior of my Avenger. This is just OOTB, but I used the Squadron Walkaround as reference. I'll get the fuselage halves joined today, barring any unforeseen disaster. Here's a pic of the interior:

I've jumped on the bandwagon (or fell of the turnip truck ) and uploaded in-progress pics to my MSN album.
Behold, my Corsair cockpit in all it's glory!
My guess is that I've spent ten hours on it so far. The outside of the plane has yet to be touched... and half the PE parts are for the landing gear!!! :-)
Thank goodness it's only September!
The lighting on the pictures isn't great (what else is new?) I plan to get a desktop OttLite this weeks to remedy the problem.
The link to Yoda's Hut is below... or in the preceeding sentence. Let me know what you think!

This is the 1/48 F4U-1A corsair from Tamiya. (Tam 61070) I used the Eduard photoetch detail set, and have some True Details wheels also.
Thanks for the positive comments! :-)
