I''ll leave the detailed appraisal to Jackflash :-), but here''s a basic look at this exciting new release, along with a few reference pics which I took of an original propellor.

Ah, The Magician comes through again! I've been hoping for a nice SE5 for years. pity about the price & the decals, I'd been hoping to pick one up to replicate the "One-eyed Irishman's" crate. (yes, before I'm corrected, I know, Mannock wasn't Irish... )
Being a one-eyed mick myself, seems appropriate!
Any idea if there's a surviving Wolsey Viper out there to help with a scratch project?
Hey, brilliant Idea going to Middle Wallop for those snaps! How'd you come up with that Idea? :-)
p.s. met a very well mannered 7 yr. old at my Fellowship named Rowan. Asked him if he enjoyed Wingy-Thingies and got a bit of a blank stare...

Hi Rob
I can't remember why I was there... but I spotted the prop and thought "Since I'm passing..." :-)
Actually, I could have got some more shots of aircraft interiors, but Sod's Law decided to make my visit coincide with Inspectors from the M.O.D. The were doing radiation tests on the aircraft instruments.
By their own admission, the levels were tiny, but if you sat in one of those cockpits for 200 years, the radiation dose could be fatal!
All the best
Rowan
P.S. It sounds like my 7 year old namesake needs to check out Armorama - that'll get him interested in Wingy Thingies!

While I do like this kit to be accurate the lower wing ribs need some fixing. Not a bad job just the four between the wingroot and the aileron on each side. Sand flat & lay down .010 thou plastic rod or HSP and glue in correct placements. Then blend into the wing (thats upper & lower surface.) It took me 32 min. & 15 sec to fix.
