I have just aquired a set of decals from extra TECH ltd for my BF110 G and noticed that my Revell Bf 109 E-4 carries the same unit badge is this correct? The Bf 110 is from NJG 4 and Bf 109 E-4 is from NJG 1, I am just a little bit confused as I thought that these two different types of aircraft would not be from the same unit. One last thing, would the decals from 9/ZG 76 for a Bf 110 D be correct for my Bf 110G..Your help would be most welcome.....

they had many different kinds of planes in the same sqaudron. Like for bomber escorts they had Ju-88's Ju-52 and Bf-109's all in the same unit.

Ju 52 as a bomber escort ? ! That is surprisingly new ...
There had been mixed units, but that was on "Gruppe" or "Geschwader" level. But a single fighter-"Staffel" only had one type of aircraft for reasons of maintainance. Also I doubt that 109E-4s had seen action the sime time as 110Gs, which were not introduced before 1943.
Maybe the unit badge norman is referring to, is a Staffel or Gruppe insignia. Sometimes the Luftwaffe (and the Wehrmacht also) formed new units (e.g. a Geschwader) by taking existing formations (e.g. a Group) as core units and adding additional fresh personal around it. So the 109 might have been in NJG 1 early in the war and its unit was later taken to build the core for NJG 4.

I'm not sure that the Ju-52 was used as the bomber escort, but rather the Ju-88 as the bomber, the Me-109s as the escort, and the Ju-52 as staff and supply transports. Because that would make no sense.

First of all norman55, welcome to Armorama
There could be many reasons why the 2 aircraft could have the same unit badge (without knowing what the badge is means I can't give a specific answer. Actually I couldn't anyway, as I have no references ) However my guess would be that elements of NJG 1 formed NJG 4 later in the war, or that NJG 1 reformed on the Bf 110 G and became NJG 4? Anything is possible.
I'm afraid I have no answer for your second question, hopefully someone with loads of reference material will be able to help.......Rowan
