Hey all.

I recently bought a 1:72 Hasegawa Fw 190 f-8 and looked at the seat.
The seat is very strange. It is like a very square bucket seat and it has a square like box at the back of the seat. Does anyone have any pics of the seats?
I also paid $33 Cdn for this kit. Is that too much?

Here is a (poor) diagram of the seat.

Now, this is sweet Whodini , you present us an X-mas tree ! (:-)
I'm not 100% sure if they partially used ejection seats in late-war 190's. I promise to check my "Fw190 in action" this weekend.
If all else fails, just use the seat of a 190A-8. Hmm, by thinking about it, I'd say there is no difference between the seats of an A-8 and an F-8...
Hold on ...!

The cut out at the back of the seat was there to take the parachute. Luftwaffe pilots wore their chutes on their backs, unlike British pilots whos chutes were designed to be sat on and therefor the seat base was formed into a "bucket" to take the chute. On german aircraft the base of the seat would be padded, on British aircraft seats the back would be padded. If I can get my scanner working I'll post a picture from the Fw 190 in action.
