I seem to remember reading somewhere about what’s available of the various B-17 kits in 1/72 scale, but as I can’t remember where I read it, so I’ll ask again. What kits are available of the B-17 in all sub types in 72nd scale ?? I hear Academy and Minicraft do a full range, but are they any good ??
If I want to do RAF B-17, I’ll need a C, E or a G version wont I ?? Who makes decals for RAF B-17's ??
Thanks for any info.

Hi, Academy does have a full line of B-17's, and they are wonderful kits! I have 3 of them in my stash. And one of them is a RAF coastal command bird! Others could have RAF markings, im not sure. If I remember right, Minicraft discontinued there B-17 line, though they still have there B-24's in there line.
Hope this helps mate,
Garry

Airfix also do a rebox of the Academy B17G,you get 2 options.Either "Flak Eater" or "Fever Beaver" I have it at home and it looks like a good kit.
