I seen that Dragon's listed some pilot figures for the AH-6 little bird #3527, $29.95 and OH-6A Cayuse w/ crew, 18.95. There were no pics of these figures. Has anyone seen them, and how are they or are they discontiued.

Mother,
Littlebird kit does not come with figures. Not sure what ad you saw. The only helo figures by Dragon are the above kit, with pilot with WAR on helmet and seated gunner in the OH-6A kit. There are also a nice set of modern pilots in the OH-58D from MRC/Academy. That is all I know of for modern crew in plastic. There are some from Czechmaster (CMK), a modern UH-60 crew and GIBs (Guys In Back) dismounting in resin too.

Here they are:
Pilots and door gunner:

GIBs:

Hope that helps and clears it up.

I didn't see where the crew was listed with AH-6J, only OH-6A. For the CMK figures, go to Great Models Webstore

Go to page 2 and you will see them listed as US Airborne (UH-60 crew) , Part I, Part II, and Part III. Three separarte sets.

The crew are listed as US Army (UH-60 pilots + door gunner).

It was listed under modern figures. No biggie, just thought maybe someone knew something about them. I'm going to have to learn to post web pages in my posts. Thanks for the links on the others figures.

Of the 1/35 resin figures available, NONE come close to modern, so don't be fooled by the title on the box.

Anyone who watched BLACKHAWK DOWN DVD knows how modern U.S. helo crews look like, especially the vest. The only helo vest that comes close to modern is Legend's UH-60 helo crew (or is it SOL?)....the standing pilot with the Stetson cowboy hat. One needs the zipper vest with the pockets.

TF-160 pilots don't use Chicken Plate armor anymore. I know...I emailed TF-160 before 9/11 and a pilot said so. Besides Chicken Plate is NAM and even in Grenada, the pilots didn't wear Chicken Plate.

Yep, those Nemrod guys will work for modern. It's the modern vest you're after.
