Hi all,
It has been slow going for me for a while but I finally got my Dauntless done. I have the pics in my gallery and on my web site (scale modeling page) if you would like to check them out. I figure it is faster in loading the thread if I don't post them all here.
In the gallery use the SORT BY 'LATEST' option and that should pop the SBD pics up to the front.

I like the ASW scheme. It is a simple color scheme but looks good. I decided for now not to do any extra weathering. I kind of like the aircraft as is and I can always go back and add the weathering some day if I want to. Earlier when I did the scheme I didn't think the preshading showed through but I actually think it does show a little like it is supposed to. EXCELLENT!!

I have got a small start on my next kit - Tamiya 1/48 ME-262. I am sure this will be as much fun as all the rest.

Hope you like the Dauntless and good modeling,
Wayne

Looks great Wayne. I really like the ASW scheme too. It makes for a really nice look!

The cockpit does looked like it was well masked Check you PM for a special offer.

Again, nice job and thanks for sharing.

Yes Wayne, I like your Dauntless very much, looks excellant, This must be the best done ASW scheme I've seen. I must admit that I hadn't been a real fan of this scheme but I like it quite a bit more now
Nice one Wayne, I'm looking forward to the 262, I'm sure it will be as much fun for us to see as for you to build.

Thanks everyone. The good words are appreciated

19k - Yes that is an Accurate Miniatures kit.

Shonen-Red - Thanks, you make me blush. Don't sell yourself short. I see a lot of really good work in your gallery photos too.

Leon - I am happier with the outcome of this masked cockpit than any of the others I have done. I still am not totally happy with my masking process I used tho. I'll get with you with the PM offer. I just might take you up on that.

Mal - Thanks You're making me blush too

Good Modeling,
Wayne

Great job. I love this paint scheme. I'm going to do an Avenger in this scheme, Wingman out.

That is a very detailed Dauntless. I have a TBD and it is no where near your detail. Very cool. You do a great job. I love your interior, especially the flight panel.
