I got so excited about Wad_Ware's campaign idea that I spent a little time with photoshop playing around with my plan.
Then I realized I don't have a clue if this is correct. I stole this scheme from a FM-1 Wildcat and was going to say what-if the navy went with P-47s instead. Is this scheme truly navy? is it anti-submarine? (if so what armament might it be carrying?) and would the timing be appropriate for that version of the p-47?
Any other comments or suggestions?
Again just playing, but very excited (and clueless ) .

Go with a P-47D-25RE or later.
Put it in the same scheme as the Avenger, and put some depth charges on the underwing pylons, plus a belly tank and rockets.
Now you have a mean bugger to hunt U-boats!
