I pulled a stupid move the other day. I tried to remove bare-meta foil residue from my tamiya p-47 bubble top windscreen. Like a true bone-head i used laquer thinner which crazed it badly. I tried sanding and polishing and dipping it in future. It still looks crazed. Is there anything I can do about it? Thanx.

Easiest way.... get a vacuform replacement from Squadron...
otherwise try ordering one from Tamyia.

Try sanding it a little more, if that doesn't get it right, then do as Grumpy suggested.
You could also try making a new one out of clear plastic and boiling water by using the crazed one as a template.

Hi SGT. When I used Bare Metal Foil on my P-47 canopies I first dipped them in Future then masked them. After I removed the masking with a toothpick, I used baby oil on a cotton swab to remove the BMF residue. It works great. Hope this helps for next time, Wingman out.
