Here are some pics of my in progress Vought corsair 1D ( the tamiya kit ) .I couldn't wait painting and weathering the hull .The wing end's are under construction.
as you see the landing gear is not painted yet.

Hi Q, The weathering looks great As for the question on folded or unfolded wings I have seen quite a few modelers do one wing folded and the other out flat. I think it looks pretty good that way. Just a thought. I will be interested is seeing the finished Corsair. Should be a nice build once completed.

Looks good Quinten. You must be a very fast builder; it seems like only yesterday that you got this kit; I wish I was that fast!!
The weathering looks nice, and I would probably go for the folded wings (due to the possible fit problems discussed in the other thread, but if test fitting shows great fit... )

Looking good Quinten. I see you have left out the window in the underside of the fuselage. In my kit this is shown painted the fuselage colour. In plans I have there is no evidence of it at all. This is one of the reasons I haven't started this kit yet, I would like to confirm if the window was painted over or not fited on later aircraft? Mal
