hi,
Here are some pics of my in progress Vought corsair 1D ( the tamiya kit ) .I couldn't wait painting and weathering the hull .The wing end's are under construction.
as you see the landing gear is not painted yet.
Wich shall i do ? Folded wings or not?

The weathering looks great
As for the question on folded or unfolded wings
I have seen quite a few modelers do one wing folded and the other out flat. I think it looks pretty good that way. Just a thought.
I will be interested is seeing the finished Corsair. Should be a nice build once completed.

Looks good Quinten. You must be a very fast builder; it seems like only yesterday that you got this kit; I wish I was that fast!!
The weathering looks nice, and I would probably go for the folded wings (due to the possible fit problems discussed in the other thread, but if test fitting shows great fit... )

I see you have left out the window in the underside of the fuselage. In my kit this is shown painted the fuselage colour. In plans I have there is no evidence of it at all. This is one of the reasons I haven't started this kit yet, I would like to confirm if the window was painted over or not fited on later aircraft?
