Here's an In-box review of Classic Airframes'' new-tooling 1/48 scale Defiant. This is really a state-of-the-art short-run kit and just goes to show how much standards have improved since their original version appeared in 1995.

Thanks for this Rowan it makes up my mind. Although I have the earlier release, which is part built, I will certainly now be buying the latest releases.

Hi Mal

I thought you'd like this one!

I've got the old kit too - test-fitted, but unbuilt as yet - and likely to stay that way following this new release...

All the best

I have that kit and I'm looking for a sheet of red letters to do a 409 Sqn. bird.

:-) Errrrrr, why am I laughing I can see my unbuilt one stying that way. Or maybe it can become a testbed for some new painting technique?
It is very kind of CA to put us in this predicament

Hi Ollie

Let me know the codes you need and I'll have a look through my decal stash. I've got some Dull-Red codes from various manufacturers - which means they're not all the same colour! - but I might have something to help get you started...

All the best

Thanks Merlin, but Tally-Ho makes a dull red 24" code sheet and they carry it near my house!
