Hi Dudes,
I just obtained a DML AH-6J little bird, I have the intention to build it into the little bird as in BHD, is the bird in the movie an AH-6 J or MH-6 J, if so, does that mean I need to get Cobra company's conversion?
And what the color is the little bird in the movie?
Thanks.

Hey Dave, the AH-6J is the armed version and the MH-6's or the transports / utility versions. The AH's can be fitted w/ 2.75 rockets and 7.62 mini guns, hellfire missles, 30mm cannon and .50cal machine guns.
As for a color, Flat Black. I would use Model Masters Aircraft interior black #4767. Has a slight gray for that fadded look.

Yup Dave, Jo answered the Q' perfectly, but just thought u might like to know that on that mission capture Adids Lt.'s on the 3rd of Oct 93' , they were armed with the 2.75 rocket pods and 7.62 mini guns.
also if you wanted to get a bit more depth into your faded look, paint the whole bird in flat black, then give it a very light overpsray with a lighter tint, maybe a dark grey.
cheers
p.s. i have two atm also, waiting for AGE2 to start up so i can begin

Guys,
Thanks for the reply, so just to make sure, if I wanna do the birds on Oct. 3rd, I can do the AH-6J OOTB without getting the MH conversion? Am I correct? Thanks for the help.
Cheers!

Thank you guys for all your help.
One questions, where can I get some helo crews for the chopper, and the kit, to my surprise has no decal, not even United States of American...is it correct?

G'day Dave
you COULD use DML's Nam helo crew, they are similar, but of course not as modern as the real littlebird crews.
but a company called CMK make UH-60 crews in 1/35, and they are perfect for it (resin not plastic, so they are fairly expensive)
as for decals, they are around, Cobra company make some for it, but i do have some that were made by an amorama member, i will ask him if i can send them to you, they have to be printed onto decal paper.
Anyways, i personally think it was damn slack of DML not to give you crew, let alone decals, phh, oh well, just how it goes i guess.
Cheers
