Is any kit perfect? A 10/10 might be a little controversial in some quarters, but there''s no denying Tamiya''s 1/48 scale Mustang is a beauty, as David (lestweforget) makes clear with this neat In-Box Review.

Most of Tamiya's stuff is top-notch, so I'm not really surprised with the rating

If one had said 10/10 for Tamiya's Bren Carrier I would be a little more sceptical

Nice review, David

Hi All

As I'm sure you all know, a 10/10 is pretty exceptional!

I've actually got several old editions of this kit on the shelf - so I would give it 9 because of the decal problem I mentioned in my review comment, but what just occured to me was a problem which occurred with it a few years ago...

Read this and weep... somehow a batch went out with an incorrectly moulded air-outlet. The fix was a 1/2 pence worth of plastic and two minute's work.

The price?... £6.96 per kit! That's GOT to be among the best bargains I've picked up!

All the best
