Here's a couple of models I finished last year, just thought I'd share (cause I'm bored). The D-9 is the Tamiya kit, basically out of the box, and the G-6 is 1/32 Hasegawa, out of the box with the exception of the decals. Enjoy... Jeff

I like the Bf109. What is the difference between ME109 and BF109?

Nothing really...
Messerschmitt was the designer...and Bf stands for Bayerische Flugzeugwerke.
In 1926, Bayerische Flugzeugwerke (Bavarian Aircraft Works or BFW) formed. Messerschmitt Flugzeugbau also established around this same time. Both were separate companies.
In 1927, the Bavarian government forced a merger between the two.
In 1938, BFW changes its name to Messerschmitt AG. Aircraft developed after 1938 use the "Me" prefix, and since the 109 was developed in 1935, it carries the 'Bf' while the 262, 163, 323, etc., designed after 1938, carry the 'Me' designation.
Just a little piece of trivia :-)

Very nice Jeff, is the detail in the G-6 cockpit from the kit or aftermarket?
What colours have you used on the Fw 190D-9? I have this kit and one of the reasons I haven't built it yet is that the Tamiya instructions use Tamiya colours and don't give RLM colours.
Thanks for sharing, I hope you don't wait until you're bored before posting pics of your models again :-)

Hi Mal,
I used Aeromaster colors on this one...because I had them laying around (I'm normally a ship modeler).
The upper wing surfaces are RLM 75 and 83, and the underside is RLM 76, with 75 and 83 on the upper fuselage. This came from the Morskie book on the Fw-190.
On the G-6, the cockpit is completely stock with the exception of the seatbelts. I have Derek Brown's incredible Bf-109 reference CD (BuffiesBest), so I was able to really get the colors right.
