Hi guys. Finally finished Schillings plane. I hope the spinning prop looks realistic. Please give any advice or comments. Wingman out.

Very nice, i had to double check that the sound was up on my PC, I thought I should hear the engine on this beaut :-)
It certainly gives the effect of a spinning prop, how did you do the spinning spinner?

Thanks guys. I used a circle cutter that is supposed to be used for cutting circles out of paper, but I used it on some clear plastic sheet. Needless to say it took a long time to get the circle, but it was worth it. I then made a mask out of thin cardboard and sprayed flat black onto the cut out plastic to simulate the prop blades. I then chucked this into my drill via a screw through the hole in the center. As the drill was spinning I took some rough sandpaper and starting in the center, I dragged the sandpaper to outside edge. I repeated this until me and my dad[he gave me some advice] were happy. I shaved off the bolts on the hub and found some washers with some spiral grooves in them to simulate the spinning bolts that were originally there. I'll be doing this again to Gabreskis plane that is close to being done. Thanks for looking, Wingman out.

that prop looks the buisness, youve found a clever and effective way to reproduce a spining prop there

Thanks Phil. It took awhile to do but it was worth it. The other T-bolt I'm doing will have the same simulated spinning prop. Meanwhile, I thought I'd add a couple more pics, thanks for looking, Wingman out.
