Can anybody send me anything? give a reference I can look up? I think these things look like a cross btwn a Devastator and a Dauntlas, but I don't have a picture of oe in any of my sources. They are NOT listed in the Rand McNally Encyclopedia of Military Aircraft even.

Steve, I don't know if this helps but try this site. When I did a Google image search it gave a small three view of the plan that you might be able to save, then enlarge.
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.military.cz/usa/air/war/bomber/sb2u/sb2u_draw.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.military.cz/usa/air/war/bomber/sb2u/sb2u.htm&h=437&w=578&sz=9&tbnid=Jrw9i7wKbtcJ:&tbnh=99&tbnw=131&start=3&prev=/images%3Fq%3DSB2U%2BVindicator%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D
To me basically the plane looks like a stretched out Dauntless. It didn't have the upward tiled forward fuselage like the Devastator.
By the way, do you know the nickname the pilots gave it? Wind indicator.

Steve,
Try Googling "sb2u drawings". Vought.com/heritage site should come up with directions for copying the sketches.
Also, the March 2005 issue of Air & Space/Smithsonian has an article on the OS2U with a couple of artist depictions and several photos. Good info in the text. May be of some help or at least a source for follow-up.
Don
P.S. I just can't seem to post the active Vought link. Sorry.
