OK I have been asked if 1/32nd scale is all I'll be doing
Well no; but we have to start somewhere
Take a look at the image below
Thats a 25mm AntiAircraft gun from the WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy
In 1/200th scale; look at the inset picture; it is flared; grooved for the cooling fins; and even drilled; the biggest diameter on the whole guns is just 0.5mm or 0.02" plus I add a mounting peg
So i think from this; you'll get some idea of the detail level I'm now bringing to the model Aircraft World
And keep in mind; it's a whole lot cheaper for you guys that the ship builders
This gun costs just $2.75 each; very inexpensive; but if your building Yamato in 1/200th you need 152 total; now thats not inexpensive; it's a major investment
This barrel is just one of over 100 from a builders shipment thats going out tomorrow
As time goes by; I'll add more and more brass replacements for Aircraft; keep an eye on my site
But note; what the bottom scale limit for these barrels might be; I don't know yet; this will be something we will all find out in time

Steve,
Your barrels are very impressive, very I work in 1/48 scale and from what I have seen you could be the answer to my dreams. I would love to see 1/48 scale 0.3" and 0.5" guns for bombers, B-17, B-24, Lancaster, Wellington and the like. Is this possible? Would I be able to afford them? Could I justify the cost?
Waiting with baited breath :-) I'm starting a Monopgram 1/48 B-24 this week end :-)
