It's been a while since I last posted, eh? Anyways... I have a question to ask: What would the colour of the cockpit be? I tried to google it but came up with nothing, unfortunately.

Hey Robert, I looked around myself and came up with only two cockpit colors. Both where model reviews, maybe you seen them..but one was done in "Interior Green", no mention of FS no's # or brand of paint. Second one was done in flat black, silver/white high lights, red/yellow knobs and OD green seat pads. Hopefully someone could give you a definite answer or back up one of the two above. Good luck

I had a look around too, but found nothing positive. My guess would have been cockpit green FS 34151 (Xtracolour), but black seems like a good colour for these later aircraft. Mal

Well I checked my copy of "Fighting Colors P-51 Mustang in Color" by Larry Davis from Squadron Publications. They have a color drawing of the pilot's and radar operators cockpits. The drawings show the floors and sidewalls being interior green with flat black panels. I don't have any photos that back this up but it's the best I've got. Eric

I am building a P-51B and my info is that N.A. painted the cockpit a color called Dull Dark Green. It is more like a forest green. Otherwise, the interiors were the usual yellow and green zinc chromates.
Whether N.A. continued this into the F-82, I hope someone can tell me.
