The long wait for fans of British jets is over - the first of Classic Airframes'' new Vampires has arrived. Based on this in-box review, my first impressions are pretty positive...

I really hope that we'll see some RCAF aftermarket sheet for this one...

Although this is not within my main area of interest I am always interested in classic British jets. I avoided the Hobbycraft offering because I had better things to model but, based on you excellant review, I will be getting 1or 2 of these Thanks Rowan.

Hi Ollie

Well, the kit includes markings for one of the RAF FB Mk.5s that 421 (F) "Red Indian" Squadron, RCAF borrowed while they were posted to the UK. It's got full Maple-leaf roundels...

But, of course, if you want something truly Canadian, just look at those spare rounded wing-tips... something tells me Classic Airframes are planning the earlier versions, so some RCAF F.3s are almost a sure bet.

Have fun!

Rowan
