Hi
having a little problem getting my head round the following..
Can anyone suggest how the rear undercarriage doors might work when the wheel comes down...please see diagram.
How would it fold to allow the leg to extract?
This is a version of an original drawing for the Me Leitwerk T project. Planet do a model of this but they’ve modified the rear undercarriage doors so they are not like these.
Many thanks
Cheers
Peter

Hey Flitzer...
Good question...good question indeed.
Is that an Ardo Ar-234 that you're building? Because if it is, I'm thinking you may have to scratch build some new doors. Because I'm with you...I have no idea how you're supposed to attach those bad boys.

Hi Peter,
I found this diagram in one of my 'Luftwaffe Secret Projects' books. I hope it's of some use to you.

I think the photo provided by jetprovost shows it pretty well, very German, very complicated. Swings forward and rotates into position. Obviously requires low landing and take off speeds. :-)

Thanks lads...
I was thinking along similar lines but couldn't quite work it out. I was going to go the Planet model route and do a top hinged rectangular door but that pic has made me think again...great stuff.
Thanks again and cheers
