okay, i was expecting soemthing big, but not soo bug lol, i realy need to made room for this. iam happy so far everything is going along well, some minor cracks i need to fill with putty, and even if iam a big zero with putty, this time its going well as you can see
the wings have some tape because they are still drying. there is a lot of putty, but since i usualy realize once iam finished that i should have added some here and there i decided not to take any chances. and iono about this should i putty it up? as you can see the fitting of hte wing goes alogn very well.
Thanks to rob lively(husky1943) who reminded me to work on it lol.
once i get the touch ups on the masking and putty, il wash then prime then paint!
thanks for looking, comments and advice are welcome
Frank

I'm guessing those tiles are each about one foot wide...so that is a big boy isn't it...
I'd fill the gap too but only because all the other panel lines appear to be raised rather than recessed. So for continuity sake I say fill em in.
Looks like it's coming along nicely though! Well, done and keep us posted.

Frank,
Nice to see you're still progressing on the build. As for the gaps at the wing root, I'd agree that filling them is the right thing to do.
Here's a trick I found that helps keep it from getting to be too messy of a job.
Putty Tip
The only thing that might it make of a challenge is the depth of the gap. You'll probably need a few applications to get it just right.
Let us know how it goes!

Glad I could help out, guys! I ran across that awhile back. My wife thought I was a bit odd cruising the women's cosmetics aisle for the nail polish remover. I could see the sigh of relief when I tried out that trick when we got home.

Just my luck...I find the tip after I've spent hours filling and sanding about a hundred recessed panel lines (on a 1/350 sub)
You can bet I'll use this tip in the future. Thanks Frank!
BTW, The Flying Fortress looks good so far. Can't wait to see her finished.
