Hi there

Time flies by - so fast, in fact, that I managed to miss the end of Febuary and March was here before I knew it!

So - a little late... here are the results of our first Aircraft Model of the Month. In reverse order:

7th Place: GunNut's Fiat Br-20 & Riversphynxz's Starfighter
6th Place: CRS's XFY-1 "Pogo", Wingman's "Schilling's" and "Gabrieski's" P-47s & Archerwin15's Messerschmitt Me 163
5th Place: Brandydoguk's Beaufighter
4th Place: Newtothegame's ASW P-47
3rd Place: Warthog2's Nakajima A6M2

It was a two-horse race for the top slots but, in the end, the the winner had a clear margin:

2nd Place: Saltydog's 1/48 P-51D

and our very 1st Winner...

1st Place: Holdfast's Hawker Typhoon.

So CONGRATULATIONS to Mal!

Considering the enormous contribution Mal makes to the Aircraft forum and the help he gives other modellers, it's seems only fitting that he should be our first winner. :-)

All the best

I agree, with all that Mal does for all of us, it was nice to see him be the first winner. Of course, it was also nice to see him win because his plane was amazing and deserved the nod.

This is a great idea and hopefully will inspire lots of sharing of completed models in the aircraft forum.

Thanks guys, I feel suitably humble at this accolade. All those nominated deserved to win, but to get the vote over Saltydog's magnificent P-51D makes me proud. I do feel that My Typhoon did get just a little more "air time" than the rest so we do need to get all the nominees into a folder for future votes.
