Hi there
Better late than never, it's time to get nominating for the next Model of the Month poll.
Remember: no previous winners (models - not builders) are elligible. Should we allow previous entries? I would say yes - although Ideally we should try to have as many fresh entries as possible. But please add your opinion on this or any other ideas you have to improve the poll.
This time we'll definitely have a gallery with all the nominations in to make it easier to vote.
Turnout for the first poll wasn't exactly huge - but it's early days yet and I'm sure this will grow in popularity as word spreads...
All the best

Hi Jared
Click HERE to see more pics.
If you set your "Focus" to Aircraft - the buttons at the top-left of the screen - you'll see the model on the Homepage, along with links to many other exciting Aircraft Features.
Hope this helps

Hi Ollie et al
Those are two fine models!
The original idea was to have Aircraft Model of the Month a nomination process - just like UOM.
Anyway, just to keep everything within those original "rules", I nominate Ollie's two builds!
But let's all stop for a moment and decide how we want this to run. We've got 3 options, as I see it:
1. Keep it nominations only.
2. Change over to direct entries.
3. Allow a mix of both.
Remember, this isn't intended as a competition, as such. I'm happy however it goes - I just want to see as many people as possible taking part in the vote ( we have a limit of 20 entries per poll) and getting our forum and gallery area really buzzing.
Above all - this is YOUR poll - so this is an ideal opportunity to try to get it sorted the way you'd like to see it run.

Rowan,
Obviously the Figure Modeler of the Month is a bit more of a competition, but you may want to look at the way Nate is running that. Seems to be going very smoothly thus far.
And no matter how you try this will still be seen as somewhat "competitive" so....
Good luck!
Jim

Cheers for the pointer Jim.
Here's a link to the Figures section's guidelines .
So, everyone, take a look and decide for youself how you'd like to do things in Aircraft. Let's get the creative juices flowing and shape things up teh way we'd like to see them.

Rowan, I think Jim is right, however we run this it is going to turn into a bit of a competition. Anyone seeing this and not having read the original thread will have to have the concept explained. Although I personally like the idea of nominating other models, that have appeared during the month. We just might get more more model pics into this if we throw it open to nominations of members own models. I have a few that haven't appeared here before. It can also be the way to get more models into the galleries?

Me again, I wrote the above before seeing the guidlines in the figure section. I think that's a great idea, entering models that are completed that month. Works for me, when did I finish my Spitfire?

Thanks for nominating my planes Rowan!
:-)
I think we should limit the entries to models completed during the month.

In antisipation of this heading in a similar direction to the figure section I submit my Supermarine Spitfire MkVb, finished and posted on this forum on the 23rd February.
Hasegawa's Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb, representing a machine of 401 squadron RCAF, "Corps of Frontiersmen" (badge under windscreen) July 1943, The model is painted with Colourcoats enamel paint and the markings are from the kit except the codes which were taken from a Superscale sheet. Cannon barrels were replaced with stainless tube, which was heat treated to get the colouring.

Well if we're still looking for nominations...I'd like to put forth JPTRR's Mig 19...
I think you'll all agree that JPTRR was able to achieve some wonderful detail on this 1/100th scale kit.
