Hi all
Here are some more pics showing a P-40 Mustang, and two P-47s that I believe would have served in Borneo or thereabouts, judging by some writing on the back of a seperate pic, mentioning Balikpapan Borneo, approx. mid '45... Does anyone recognise the aircraft or h ave any history on their service?

while not an aircraft man I think the bottom photo is a Kittyhawk.

Seems my brain was set to fog... I was actually chatting about a Mustang (Pt Cook display in Melb.) whilst uploading and typing re the P-40 (Kittyhawk or warhawk)
Between our limited knowledge of aircraft, I think we've set the record straight
