This is a model by Dave Hallam of Warrington IPMS. I had a nice chat with him about how he achieved this finish and I will be having a go myself and of course writing an article on the outcome. In the mean time feast your eyes. Notice how Dave has not only created a great paint chiped effect (achieved by by undercoating with alclad then covering the areas to be chipped with masking fluid) but the faded paintwork, staining and general modelling are all spot on. Seeing this was worth the trip on it's own.
