I have finally managed to get the the pics I took at the Huddersfield show uploaded into the Events Gallery Huddersfield show
In there you will find this beauty:
This is a model by Dave Hallam of Warrington IPMS. I had a nice chat with him about how he achieved this finish and I will be having a go myself and of course writing an article on the outcome. In the mean time feast your eyes. Notice how Dave has not only created a great paint chiped effect (achieved by by undercoating with alclad then covering the areas to be chipped with masking fluid) but the faded paintwork, staining and general modelling are all spot on. Seeing this was worth the trip on it's own.
Dave has given permission for me to put this in the Gallery :-)
In inspiring model Dave thanks

Hi Ross,
The show was worth the effort, it has grown since I was last there, about 5 years ago. I'm considering have the Armorama stand there next year.

Mal, Sounds like one to add to the diary. Have you thought about doing UMS/IPMS Birmingham in May?

Ross, to be honest I'm a little bit wary of travelling with a load of models on board. I am looking into the transportation side of things so it is a possibility. When exactly in May is it.
