Hi there

Following the recent point about n/m P-51s having silver-painted wings, MMD-Squadron have generously allowed us to reproduce some photos from their exellent P-51D Walkaround. These P-51Ds on the production line clearly show the wings painted in zinc chromate primer paint prior to a top-coat of silver.

Images used with kind permission of MMD-Squadron .

All the best

Rowan

Mal, if you need an after market decal sheet for it, let me know, I got about 5 extra's I'll never use.

Well Dave I will certainly be building a few of these. I had been hanging on until I got hold of decals for "Big Beautiful Doll". After seeing the 2 beauts posted here recently I was going to go with the kit sheet and do "Petie 2nd". If you have either of these 2 schemes or any other colourful P-51D schemes then I'm certainly interested.
