What colour is painted on the inside of a C130s wheel housing? If it makes any difference I'm making the 1/72 Airfix Vietnam gunship .

cheers

Hi there,

I'm working in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, at the transport wing, and I can say that the Dutch C-130 aircraft have gloss white wheelbays.

Heer7: Are the panel lines on the airfix c-130 raised or ressed?

cheers

Hopefully this isn't too late. The wheel well colors on an American c-130 very in colors, the older ones are a Dull silver color on the walls and the struts both Shock(Vertical) and Torque(horizontal) and the brakes are gloss white. And in the nose the same applies as the walls are dull silver and the strut is gloss white. The tire rims will most likely be black since a gunship is Special operations. Spec ops uses as many dull colors as possible to cut down on reflection at night and visibility. However it is not uncommon to see an occasional white rim. newer c-130s as well some of the non spec ops are Gloss white.
