My first acft in 8 years, first WWI in twenty. Airfix's 1/72 'Walfisch', Roland C.II. RFC ace Albert Ball called this German's best plane c.1916. Relatively fast and manuverable, and consider that unobstructed field of fire!
Built out of the box except for Aeroclub MGs and a wire pipe, and wire control actuators on the tail, plus fishing line rigging.
Can't wait to build Eduard's 1/48 kit!

That's a beauty! It's great to see a WW1 model in the forum - we really could do with more!
I've got the Eduard 1/48 scale version... it IS pretty tasty! And I got hold of their new DH2 last week - a real beauty! I'll review it soon.
