Some of the Calvin and Hobbes comic strips are the funniest I've read concering modelbuilding. The best ones are a series of six strips that detail Calvin's attempt to put together an F-4 Phantom....

I saw some modelbuilding cartoons at IPMS Stockholm, and they are also pretty funny !(Check out the Archives section, and look for Arne the Model Builder)

And as for Calvin and Hobbes, I simply love that smart aleck kid a lot. Definitely better than Dennis the Menace...First thing I check out in the newspaper extra sheet every morning .
