There seems to be some confusion over how we are running the MOM thing so I thought as I am now the one to oversee this It might be a good idea to lay down the guidlines, particularly as they have changed a little.
Rather than nominiate a model members will enter their own work
1. Each month there will be a new vote. Voting will take place in the poll area on the home page where a list of nominated models will be found. A folder will be created, in the gallery, so that each entry can be viewed.
2. Entries will be for aircraft models (on this forum) and in any scale and from any period in history. (Later we hope to have split catagories)
3. The model is to be finished, not in progress. A maximum of 3 pics per entry and som info about the model is required (Scale, manufacturer, OOB or detailed, Any alterations additions modifications or improvements made, paint and decals used.
4. The model can be from your collection (doesn't have to have been completed in the month entered for) so the age of the model is not an issue.
5. A model can be re-enterd, but only a maximum of 3 times. (back to back months is OK. [Going for the sympathy vote eh :-) ])
6. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, each going into a gallery. The twelve 1st places, at the end of the year will be entered for the Aircraft Model of the Year award (We need to come up with something for this, even if it is only a ribbon). 2nd and 3rd places will be entered into a "peoples award" at the end of the year.
7. All winning entries will recieve a ribbon designed by? (Peter are you there)
8. Entries must be in by the 14th of the month and voting will take place through the remainder of that month. To see the voting panel set your preference to Aircraft.
I think that's it, I'll update these as necessary.
Clearly we are behind a little so I will start a thread for March's entries and we'll do catch up, some how.
So go to the February nominations in the sticky post up top and get entering.

Hi Mal
Good job clarifying the rules!
All I'll add is that the poll system has a limit of 20 entries at a time - but we'll be doing well if that ever becomes a problem!
Peter is already on the case designing awards and I've contacted Jim about how they can best be dislayed.
Crikey! If we can enter old models, even I'll be able to join in... that would be going for the sympathy vote! LOL!!
All the best
Rowan

It sounds like a really good system for the model of the month. Well done Mal
I also like the idea of no age limit on the kit. That way we will be able to pay tribute to a lot of great projects.
Good modeling,
Wayne
