Has anyone built or have any info on the Classic Airframes Vampire Jet kit? I have taken an interest in getting one of these kits. Just wondered what it is like.

The JMNs have said that the intakes were all wrong (of course), but I'm sure it's not that bad!
Go for it!
I'm waiting for the trainer to be issued, and then I'll get two...

Thanks guys
I didn't realize there was a review till after I asked. I think I will get one. I am interested in building the Canadian version. It seems like a damn interesting plane.

I want to do a 410 Sqn. one, but there are no markings for this unit yet...

Hi there Paul
I'm glad you latched onto the review. I haven't been able to confirm the intake problem (I wouldn't argue with the Vampire experts), but I'm convinced the nose isn't right - a point which some other reviewers have overlooked.
The canopy certainly isn't bulged enough - ironically, if Classic Airframes had stayed with the vacuform canopies they used to include, this probably wouldn't be an issue. But all is not lost... Aeroclub are selling a replacement item.
All the best
Rowan
