Why was TriMaster discontinued. you would think that lots of people would buy thier kits because they contain etched steel and white metal?
cheers

The etch steel and white metal made the kits expensive.

There was nothing else like these kits when they first appeared on the market. They priced themselves out of business. Some of these kits went for $100 U.S. in the late eighties and early nineties. They are a real "modeler's model," however. They are not "shake-the-box-and-the-kit-assembles-itself" builds. Plenty of dryfitting, trimming, and imaginative building sequences are required. Still, there's nothing like them. The closest would probably be Fine Molds, some of which have white metal parts. I've built their Oscar (all plastic, expensive, nothing special) and a couple Judys.
