This is a build by Wally Bigelow. It is Trumpeters 1/350 Essex aircraft carrier built as the USS Intrepid. Wally's 1/350 Trumpeter aircraft are simply amazing! The Hell Divers and Avengers have the detail of a much larger scale model. This is indeed great modeling!

Enjoy,

Garry

Hi Garry

That's amazing! Are there details of his build anywhere?

All the best

I think we need to encourage Wally and his like to post more on Armorama.

I met a serious Warships modeller the other day who'd never heard of us - we really do need to spread the word - whatever the genre - Check out Armorama!

I totally agree Rowan. I am always trying to recruit fellow ship modelers to Armorama, and I have won a few over! I also have a lot of aircraft modeling buddies that I try to guide to our aircraft forum here, most are hung up at either Hyperscale or ARC. But I feel our aircraft side of Armorama has a lot to offer! A good program, great talent, good people and we are very active! They just need to get there feet wet to see what a great site this is.

All the best,

Garry
