Need to paint some Sidewinder missiles for my Swedish steel project, but I don't agree with the colors suggested in the instructions, since I have never seen a JAS-39 Gripen with white missiles.
But what colors should they be in, haven't found any good pictures so that I can compare.

Both pics look as if the Sidewinder body is like an Olive green, or even maybe NATO Green, with the control surfaces being a grey.
Keep in mind though, that that also could possibly be a training round, ie: no warhead and/or rocket motor.
In US inventory, usually a blue missile body denotes a training round, however they also have certain color stripes on the missile body to denote as to whether there is a warehead, guidence, motor, etc, etc, loaded in the missile body.
Not sure if Sweden would follow the same suit as that or not.
War rounds in the US are usually either painted white or a shade of grey.

Here, let me throw you another sidewinder (pun intended )
Look at the third image, specifically at the red and white stripes on the forward fins. I'm guessing red means warhead. American Sidewinders have a yellow band (High Explosives) and a brown band (containing low explosives parts)
It is locally built under license in Sweden under the designation Rb24. I can't help you on the colors as I couldn't find anything, at least in English. Try Googling it, specifically looking for "Rb24 Sidewinder" color or "Sweden Rb24 color." Something like that.

I checked the site out, it looks great. Very propagandistic toward buying one, but good image base.
The direct link to the weapons is below:

The AIM-9 in the last pic is a training missile it has no warhead no rocket motor and is missing parts on the rear fins. the red and green decal near the front is to arm the missile so the seeker head will still work

What the heck? Have the Swedes developed a giant Sharpie Bomb?
Sorry, couldn't help myself...
